Liquid Extracts

Liquid extracts are absorbed almost immediately in the mouth and stomach. They do not require a lengthy digestive process before their benefits are released. Liquids are easier to swallow than tablets or capsules. They go down easily.

Also, it is easier to adjust the dosage of a liquid extract. You can find the amount that is just right for you since you know your own body best. It's easy to take 10, 30 or even 60 drops according to your body's particular needs. Liquid extracts also allow you to dilute the supplement to mask the flavor. You can add the dosage to other liquids with strong flavors such as cranberry or orange juice. This is especially important when administering these extracts to children.

The bottom line is that our liquid extracts offer flexibility.

MADE WITH INTEGRITY
Our products feature many certified organic herbs carefully grown on medicinal herb farms around the country. Our extracts also contain plants harvested from wild areas where they are naturally free of pesticides and chemicals.

The extracts are prepared according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Careful adherence to GMPs helps to promote cleanliness and overall control of the manufacturing process. The FDA inspects the manufacturing facility and recognizes the high level of quality control and overall scientific achievement by granting GMP status to the facility.

CLINICALLY TESTED FORMULAS
Our liquid extracts are effective because they have been formulated by Mitch Coven, a Clinical Medical Herbalist, who has more than 18 years of direct clinical experience. Each formula contains a core group of the most effective ingredients for each targeted condition as well as a supporting cast of complementary herbs.

The herbalist has used fresh plants where it is known that the maximum benefits are derived from immediate processing and has used dried materials where a concentration is most critical. In each case the ratio of alcohol and water has been carefully chosen to maximize the extraction of the most useful ingredients within the plant. For "Alcohol Free" formulas, the extraction has been conducted with alcohol and water first, and then the alcohol is gently removed and replaced with vegetable glycerin. This ensures that very important alcohol-soluble compounds are extracted, which is not possible if glycerin is used as the extracting agent.

FULLY DISCLOSED LABELING
As with all of our products, we disclose our label information with an emphasis on clarity. It will prove to be more informative than most methods of label disclosure in the marketplace. We have provided the actual amount of each herb found in every product. For example, our Organic Echinacea Extract label states that every serving contains 500 mg. of echinacea. This means that for every serving of the extract 500 mg. of echinacea root was used. This kind of disclosure lets you know what you are getting. Other label disclosures leave you guessing, because the use of a ratio disclosure has no uniform meaning. It could mean any weight-to-volume ratio. For example, looking at a statement such as, "echinacea leaf 1:4", the following is true: this statement could mean that 1 pound of herb was used to make 4 gallons of extract which would mean that the equivalent of only 30 mg. of the herb is found in each serving. Or it could mean that 1 ounce of herb was used to produce 4 quarts of extract, which is even more diluted. There is no way of knowing what units of measure are being used to arrive at a "1:4" extract. Our method removes this ambiguity and makes the contents clear.

Our pride clearly shows. We've chosen liquid herbal extracts made from choice ingredients. They've been carefully formulated for optimal benefits. And, we've delivered them to you at great values.
