This herb controls the inflammation associated with prostatitis and benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) by regulating the hormone dihydrotestosterone. Excess of this hormone will stimulate new cell growth in the prostate thereby thickening the prostate, squeezing the urethra and making urination painful and difficult.
